Pokemon Journeys Release First Look at Ash / Leon Finale

The Pokemon Journeys journey is coming to a grand end as the Masters 8 Tournament brings Ash Ketchum closer than ever to fulfilling his dream of becoming the world’s greatest Pokemon trainer. With Ash and Leon’s latest clash looming large on the horizon, new previews of the latest showdown have arrived online, with a seemingly surprising pocket monster appearing. No matter who wins this battle, the style of the Pokemon anime will never be the same.

Since Ash made his way to the Masters 8 tournament, many Pokemon fans have been debating whether Ketchum will become the new world champion and leave the title of hero of the animated series in the future. With Goh headed to be a part of Project Mew, a group of trainers seeking to learn more about the legendary Pokemon, Ash’s former right-hand man might do well as the series’ new boss. This fall will see the release of the new Nintendo Switch adventure, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, introducing new regions to Pokemon fans, and as in the past, said regions are likely to find their way into anime mods. Whether or not Ash is the one to take charge of these new adventures is a whole different story.

Pokemon: Is Ash the Gunner?

The official description for Episode 132 of the Pokemon Journeys, “Final IV – Partner,” reads as follows:

“After appearing in the stadium, what is the goal of Eternatus? The battle of Ash and Leon also reaches its climax. Facing the Ace of Leon, Charizard, Ash and Pikachu gather their last strength and confront him. All their encounters, battles and adventures so far! Together with his strongest partner, Will Ash be able to achieve victory?”

Anipoke Fandom took the opportunity to release a ten-second preview of the upcoming episode, which hints at the final moments of the battle between Ash and Leon:

If Ash loses this fight against Lyon, we imagine he’ll hit the road again to continue his quest to become number one although that means he’ll have to win another tournament before making his way to the Masters 8.
